This company, based in Cambridge, is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for an important role in their Research and Development Department.
The role will be designing low cost optical and mechanical assemblies using the latest CAD design technologies.
The right candidate for the job must have
- Expert CAD design knowledge
- An excellent mechanical design background, including optical assemblies and knowledge of mathematical procedures.
- AutoCAD experience
- Knowledge of the Solidworks CAD package is huge benefit
- Excellent product design experience
- Excellent knowledge and experience of designing plastic moulded products
- Knowledge of FMEA and analytical structures
- A keen awareness and understanding of best practices relating to lean manufacturing
